APPLICATION PACKET MUST CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR EMPLOYMENT.

1. Complete the state online application process at www.alsde.edu and link to Teach in Alabama.

2. Copy of High School Diploma or GED  

3. Copy of Driver’s License & Social Security Card 

4. Must meet NCLB requirements for paraprofessionals : 1) completed two years of study (48 semester hours) at an institution of higher education or  (2) obtained an associates (or higher) degree or (3) meet a rigorous standard of quality through formal assessment. (work-keys test-given at Calhoun Community College and NW Shoals)

 For Clerical Positions Only

The following application procedures for clerical support positions (accounting, bookkeeping, office aides, secretarial or other related positions) are in effect:

In addition to all of the documents required in the list above, clerical applicants are required to take a skills test. The test will be in the areas of computer applications, filing, math, accounting/bookkeeping, diagnostic (spelling, grammar, sentence structure), and typing. The test will take approximately three hours.

Testing Dates: As job vacancies become open, clerical tests will be given  

The test results must be on file in order for your application to be considered for any openings. Current board employees must also complete the testing process in order to be considered for job openings. Test results will be valid for a period of three years.
